Hi, I was wondering if anyone knows how to go about creating a
TextWizard Predefined Format (TPF) file. I have some data in ASCII
format and need to create one in order to use it in SPSS. Any help
would be appreciated! Cheers,

tpf files are binary files that can only be created by using the Text
Wizard (File/Read Text Data). At the end it allows you to save a tpf
file.

If you are trying to define a file format from scratch without the
wizard, you will need to write regular syntax for it -
GET DATA /TYPE=TXT ...
