Hi,

Using SPSS Version 17.0, I'm trying to apply sampling weights for my
Kaplan Meier analysis. Unfortunately I'm not getting any results after
i apply the weights. I'm always getting the message below:

"No statistics are computed because non-positive or fractional case
weights were found. This command is not executed"

Therefore, I'm wondering if it is appropriate to apply weights for
Kaplan Meier analysis? If yes, how can I do this using SPSS?

Your help is highly appreciated...
Thanks

Very likely, it is not appropriate. But that depends.

How do your weights arise?

I'm using a national survey conducted by Statistics Canada. The
weights are provided with the dataset and it has been calculated to
adjust for non-response and to match demographic counts by age, sex
and province.

Cox Regression for complex samples is part of the Complex Samples
option. You would define the sampling plan for your data (the
analysis plan) and then use the Complex Samples Cox Regression
procedure to get the correct results.
